Eritara Aati died while working onboard a commercial fishing vessel, and three years on, his family are still searching for answers.

Eritara was many things: a devoted husband, a loving father, and an experienced fisheries observer. His job was to monitor fishing vessels, collect data and report any illegal activities.

But this work is not without risk. In fact, many observers have died at sea under mysterious circumstances.

Initially, Eritara's case was declared a homicide, but it was later changed to 'death by natural causes' - despite his healthy state when he boarded the Taiwanese-flagged vessel a month prior.
