What we do
Law Reform and Policy
Universal human rights are protected in international law, but their effective enforcement is not universal.
This programme is designed to support governments and corporations to develop, review, and implement laws and policies which protect everyones human rights whilst at sea.
Access to Justice
We believe that all people deserve access to justice, regardless of where they are in the world. This programme is about designed to help victims of human rights abuses at sea get the justice they deserve.
Children at Sea
Child labour is often thought of as a problem that exists only at land, but the truth is that the problem is endemic at sea, where it is often harder to detect. This programme is designed to help end child labour, exploitation and abuse of children at sea.
Equality at Sea
The right to equality is universal, as is the right to live free from violence. Securing and protecting these rights whilst at sea is not always straightforward. This programme is designed to help achieve an end to gender-based violence and discrimination at sea.
Slavery at Sea
Slavery is one of the most abhorrent examples of human rights abuse, and it is taking place today at sea. This programme is designed to help this abusive and illegal practice by developing new ways to prevent, detect, prosecute, and remedy slavery at sea.
